Florence is the capital of Tuscany, located at the center-north of Italy it’s actual size is 102,41 km² with a current population of 373.446.
Was an important cultural, commercial, economic and financial center during the middle ages, has been the residential area of the Florentine duchy under the rule of the Medici family. And after the unification of Italy 1861, it was designated capital of the country from 1865 to 1871.
The Renaissance birth place, the re-immerging of Europe from the dark ages basically starts from this very place. Considered as a world heritage city by UNESCO, and is universally recognized as one of the cradles of fine-arts and architecture, and renowned as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, thanks to its numerous monuments and museums.
